So I have been traveling for 3 months already! The time is going by so quickly! I still have 11 months to travel before I go back to work. I am really cherishing the time I have to travel, explore, and to do all the things I didn’t previously have time for. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have an opportunity such as this. It is not everyday that someone can take a year off from their job to travel. I do not take this opportunity for granted. I’ve been saving up and waiting for this opportunity for 6 years; I am blessed that the time is finally here! During my ‘waiting’ years, I taught for 6 years, changed grade levels, bought a house, completed my Master’s in Education and principal’s certificate, and saved up. I worked hard to earn my year off.
I’m so happy to have started a blog when I started this journey! It’s exciting to document my experiences as they happen. I am thrilled to share my travel stories with you! I learn something new in each destination that I visit. Each place has something unique, interesting, and totally turquoise to offer. The support and interest from my readers (and blogging community) has been overwhelming! I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for you (and I am only in my third month of blogging). It makes me that much more excited to continue writing, something I have always loved to do.
This is what I have been up to during my third month of travels:
–Las Vegas
–Zip Lining with Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City
-San Francisco & the Bay Area
–Indoor Rock Climbing
–Alcatraz Island
–Hiking in Muir Woods
–Sacramento & Old Sacramento
–California State Railroad Museum
–California Automobile Museum
Next up during my 4th month…Hawaii…stay tuned!
