In Hawaii Life’s a Beach, Enjoy the Waves

Ohau, HawaiiIf you know me then you know that I am a lover of the ocean and the beach!  There is nothing better than being by or in the sea. Growing up in a small fishing village on the coast in Atlantic Canada has made me extremely passionate about being close to the water. The four weeks previous to Hawaii I hadn’t been swimming in the ocean. I don’t often travel too far from the coast and even if I do it’s not long before I find myself back on a beach. I was lucky enough to spend a week in San Francisco close to the coast, but I had been longing to be in the ocean. Arriving in Hawaii has made the wait worth it; Hawaii is one of the best destinations to be if you are a lover of the sea. With two weeks in Hawaii I am sure I will get my beach fill. Most of my time in Hawaii will involve being in the water. I’ve planned as many water sports as I can to get the best turquoise experience Hawaii can offer. I’ll also be trying in Hawaii for the first time two items on my 2013 bucket list: kite surfing and paddle boarding. There aren’t many water sports left that I haven’t tried. I’m bound and determined to eventually try them all. I’m hard pressed to choose which water sport is my favourite.

I’m excited to see what other adventures I get up to in Hawaii. The options are endless. I’m overwhelmed with ideas. I’ll never have enough time to do everything I want to do, but I will be busy doing all that I can. My hyperactive-tourist travel style will do me well in Hawaii. I’ll never run out of things to do.  I’ll be sure to take a day to relax on one of Oahu’s beautiful beaches. I can’t wait to share my experiences with you. Life’s a beach, enjoy the ride.
