Turquoise Thursday
It’s hard to believe that I’ve been traveling for 6 months already. It feels like just yesterday that I finished my Master’s classes in June of last year and headed off to my first destination in July, 2013 (North Carolina). It’s now a new year and 6 months have flown by. In the past 6 months I’ve traveled throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Ontario, North Carolina, Nevada, California, Dominican Republic, Hawaii, and most recently Puerto Rico. With 8 more months to travel I have to step up my game. There are so many places to go. It’s time to now journey beyond North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America as most of my previous travels have been to those areas. I have so much to see in what I now know is – a short amount of time.
After taking 35 flights already in the past 6 months I am ready to continue flying to new destinations. I’m in the process of figuring out what turquoise destinations I will head to next. I want to see them all, but I know that is unrealistic. I need to find a way to at least make it to my dream destinations. Recently, I posted what turquoise destinations should I see in 2014? I need your help in planning 2014. Many of you are the experts in must-see-turquoise-destinations as you have seen them yourself. I’d love your advice!
The ideas are coming in and I want to visit all of the destinations you have recommended! I’m loving all of the different and unique destinations. So many options to think about…
–Maldives Dreamer: Maldives
–Sasieology, Run Toward the Light , Waiting for a Boat to Come, Three Little Birds Travel: Greek Islands
–Around the World on Standby: Palau, Guam, St Kitts, or Abacos in Bahamas
–The Sound: Turks and Caicos
– Irene Design: Southern Europe- Spain, Italy, Greece
– My Untolds: Asia-Malaysia
– Johanna Hurmerinta: Red Sea resorts (Marsa Alama) and the Mediterranean shores (Italy, Malta). Check out her beautiful turquoise posts on the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea
–Send Champagne: Capri!
–The British Berliner: Indonesia-Bali, Thailand, Croatia, Turkey
–Eco Yogini: Bali, Croatia, Africa
With all of these recommendations I am eager to start my planning! I’d love for more ideas!
What turquoise destinations should I see in 2014?
I would love for my readers (and possibly soon to be readers?) to suggest new, unique, and beautiful turquoise destinations for me to visit in the 2014 year. If I find them interesting, in my budget, time frame, and within my means, I’ll be adding those destinations (your recommendations) to the list of stops throughout my 2014 travels.I want to hear from you! Some of you are the experts! Share your wisdom with me. Where should I go? What do I need to see? What are your must-see bucket list dream turquoise destinations? I bet if you love them, I’ll love them too! Can you think of a place I’d enjoy?

You should definitely try to visit the Greek Islands they are very beautiful. If you get a chance Australia is big, beautiful country with plenty to see and do.

You have to go to Greece if you haven’t been.. Go island hopping, it might be cheaper now because of their finances:/

I am not sure you know but the airlines offer special round the world air tickets. In fact, the pricing is incredible cheap when you compare it to buying piece meal tickets. When I last did it the only rule is you must continue in the same direction and you must be gone for I think it’s two weeks. Why this works is because we have global airline agreements.

Yeah, I know about these around-the-world tickets. What an amazing idea! Unfortunately, my schedule thus far hasn’t allowed me to purchase an around-the-world ticket, but I will be looking into it for the remainder of my 8 months of travels. 🙂 Thanks for the reminder. I need to put that on my to-do-list.
