Turquoise Thursday: Sydney, Australia
The thing I like best about Australia are the endless 360 degree views of turquoise! This is definitely the place for me. There is no doubt in my mind that Australia was a brilliant move on my part. I’ve always dreamed of visiting Australia and it truly is everything I imagined, if not better than I imagined. With each destination that I visit, the views keep getting better and better. I often ask myself ‘can it really get any better than this?’. It does. I’m amazed by everything that I see.

The Food: Macaroons
The best part about the macaroons was the fact that I had the opportunity to enjoy a macaroon and tea with fellow blogger Lee from Wise Monkeys Abroad in downtown Sydney at Pasticceria Caffe below the Westfield Sydney Tower Eye. I actually had a coconut and milk chocolate macaroon, while Lee had the peanut butter turquoise macaroon (weird colour for a peanut butter macaroon, but she enjoyed it none the less). Lee is the first blogger I’ve met abroad while traveling. Being in the travel blogging community has been an amazing opportunity to meet other people and learn from other travel bloggers. Thanks for finding the time to meet up with me Lee!

Flying into Sydney was a true Australian turquoise welcome to the country. I like exploring big cities, but I would much rather be in a beach town. The great thing about Sydney is that there are endless beaches in every direction, all just a short bus drive away. I was able to get the best of both the city and beach life in Sydney. I couldn’t have asked for a better beginning to my trip throughout Australia.
Wow, those beaches look wonderful. Enjoy for me too.

Hi Jess! YAY for turquoise macarons! What a coincidence that it was the colour of my fav flavour and it happened to be the one I chose while with you 🙂
You were the first blogger I’ve met. I learnt a great deal from chatting to you that day. Thank you for the mention! Look forward to catching up on your home turf one day!!!

Melbourne is a whole other place! It is very cosmopolitan, like a cross between London, Montreal and NY, if you can imagine that. When you are looking for turquoise things, make a stop at Tiffany’s. I’ll tell you more about Melbourne when you get there.
