Experiencing Australia’s Native Animals in Queensland

Native Animals in Australia

Part of the joy of exploring Australia is encountering all off Australia’s creatures. Cute, dangerous, poisonous, and otherwise I have enjoyed learning about the native animals in Australia. Throughout my travels, I have seen animals in the wild and in animal sanctuaries. I have visited Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast and Bungalow Bay Koala Village on Magnetic Island which introduced me to countless creatures. I have had fun meeting them.

I am still waiting to see a Koala in the wild as I’ve managed to see all the other animals I was hoping to see including dingoes, kangaroos, wallabies, possums, cockatoos, dragons, lizards, kookaburras, a python, a huge salt water crocodile, and beyond. Still waiting for the elusive Koala to come out and show its face.

    • Yeah, I really enjoyed that eco friendly spot along my journey. I am enjoying the wildlife so much because they are different animals than the native animals to Canada. It’s always fun to explore a new country and its animals.
