Clogs and Cheese in Netherlands

NetherlandsEven though it may seem like a stereotype, I was told that I couldn’t go to the Netherlands without watching a clog making demonstration at one of the few local clog factories in the country and tasting different varieties of traditional Dutch cheese. Would you agree? Netherlands

The first thing I did when I arrived in the Netherlands was do just that! After doing both of the recommended activities (I take suggestions very seriously and literally), I couldn’t agree more. I like to experience activities that are iconic to each region that I visit, and this couldn’t have been more authentic. Netherlands

Clogs and cheese are a part of Dutch culture and so it was my duty to take part in the local traditions. I can tell you for sure that it was some of the best cheese I have ever tried! Not sure I’ll ever get used to walking around in clogs.
