During my 14 months of full-time travels, I found 10 incredibly mind blowing turquoise destinations that you should consider visiting:
1. Hawaii
2. Puerto Rico
3. Australia
4. New Zealand
5. Cuba
7. France
8. Greece
9. Croatia
10. Montenegro
I love the shot of Montenegro. I have always wanted to go there!

Thanks so much! That’s an image I took from Hill Inlet Lookout. The sand swirling around the sea is a fantastic image for me!

Thank you so much! I love your comments, positive attitude, and support! Not bad for a girl who had no expectations for her year off and ended up with more than she bargained for!

We go once and a while when we feel like a beach day. But due to the lack of waves over there, we tend to stay where the waves stay!

Yes, that makes sense! Oh how I could live on Kailua beach!

While I’ve been to only a few of those places, I second your vote for Hawaii. There’s something about those islands that is irresistible!

Ye-ha! Another one loves Hawaii! Who wouldn’t? It has everything on those little islands! I know I can’t resist! When did you visit?

We went a few years ago over New Year’s. We spent most of our time on the Big Island plus a few nights in Honolulu. Hubby and I visit Hawaii regularly in our memories though when we need a break. 😀 Our dream is to take our baby and meet both of our parents there for a fantastic half-way holiday.

That would be the perfect holiday! I’d LOVE to visit the Big Island! What did you love about it? Did you visit the 4 different ecosystems there?

Oh, happy day happy sigh. 😀 We landed in Kona and spent about four days on that side of the island including driving up to the top until the road ended. There is lots of driving but the views and changes in scenery are incredible. The best part was helping hubby snorkel for the first time. Then we drove around the bottom and up to Hilo for a few days and of course, had to go to the almost very top of Mauna Kea. We didn’t have a 4×4 so we couldn’t go to the tippy top but the stars were out of this world. Volcano National Park was a little scary with volcanoes spewing lava but also incredible. Again, the scenery kept changing and despite some sadly stripped areas to build huge homes, we found enough to feel thankful for such inspirational natural beauty.

Spring break perhaps?? 😀 Well, that’s probably a pricey time to go – same as when we went but… it didn’t feel busy. We found a b&b out of the way on the Kona side and within a short drive of a great place to snorkel. The place had a pool with gorgeous ocean views from high up. On the Hilo side, we stayed at a little b&b with quite the character, off the beaten track about a 30 minute drive from the town of Kona. It was super easy to get to the airport too to fly back to Honolulu. Flights to the Big Island from Canada can be soooo expensive and that’s if you can find one. We found it was cheaper to fly on Hawaiin Airlines between islands once we were there after flying direct to Honolulu from Canada (on AC).

This sounds fabulous! The only difficult problem is that I live on the east coast, so it’s a 4-5 hour flight to BC and then another 5-6 hour flight to Honolulu…which makes it difficult to manage in only a week for March Break. I’ll get there again sometime soon when I have more time. I know that for sure. It’s too wonderful not to go back!

True! Balancing travel with time at the location can be a great priority to have. 🙂 I’ve seen direct flights from Toronto to Honolulu on Air Canada. Are there other options closer to you? It seems out of the way to go via BC.

The Caribbean is the closest warm option!~ 🙂 Which I also love!
