Yes! I got engaged over Christmas break and am in the process of planning my wedding. As much as I’d love to get married in the air, I think we will be doing it on the ground. Now that’s a new idea you put in my head! Did you see my engagement post?
Jessica
No, I didn’t see your post. If you could send me the link, that would be super awesome. I do two employed jobs as well as my self-employed work, so it takes me a while to get around to other’s blogs these days, and unfortunately I can’t visit as much as I would love too. Congratulations and I look forward to reading it.
I hear ya! I teach high school English full time, run Turquoise Compass, work with a Yoga Studio, and am currently taking my Yoga Teacher Training…not to mention the fact that I am planning a wedding (how exciting). Bah! It’s all normal right? We’re all busy. At least I think we are…or I say that to make myself feel better for always being on the go.
You are very disciplined yourself. You have a big academic and intellectual load. Do you feel that you have some time for relaxation of the mind and for your hobbies too (other than writing)? 🙂

Hi Jess, I have just read your engagement post. It’s truly beautiful and beautifully written. You both seem very much in love. I left a message on your blog post. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful experience that is so close to your heart. Congratulations to you and Corey.
Wow! Yoga too, that’s a lot.
I don’t have spare time, but I do try to ‘make’ time for some fun things. I usually have to schedule them in. However, I have a friend who makes sure I don’t have all work and no play, by insisting he buys me a drink once or twice a month mostly. I got invited out on Saturday. At first I said no, as I have to work. Then later I text to ask if her and her friend were going clubbing, and so I later went and did that for 4 hours. Then ended up with less than 4 hours sleep before work. I had a blast.
Although my story is close to my heart, it was easy to share because I feel like Elf who screams to the roof top “I’m in love, I’m in love, and I don’t care who knows it”. I’m happy to know it has been received so well. I’m excited to share more of our love story and wedding planning.
Keep taking time for yourself because it is so important, even if you have to schedule it in (as I have to do most times). Schedule away! My schedule is extremely tight, but there are certain things I am not willing to compromise on. Yoga and fun are two of those things. I literally write them in my agenda so I don’t forget to do them.
Cheers,
Jessica
Hi Jessica. Yes, that’s good advice. I do try to factor in time for fun. However, a lot of my work is fun. So I am working and having fun at the same time xx
That’s the best part to have work be fun!
I'd love to hear from you; leave a reply! Cancel reply
Have fun!
Thanks! I doubt I will find “the dress”, but it will be fun to browse the vendors.
It is simply exciting. And even if you don’t find THE dress you might get ideas for your perfect dress.
Yes you are right. Ideas for my perfect wedding. P.S. I didn’t find the dress.
I really wonder how close it already was when you found it.
I’m in no rush. I am enjoying the hunt.
The journey is more important then the destination… no, not in the end 😉
You got it!
Oooooh! What have I missed? When are you getting married? Are you getting married in the air, or on the ground?
