Meet Jessica Palmquist


Jessica Palmquist (she/her) is Nova Scotian born and raised and although she has traveled extensively to 30+ countries and has lived in multiple places, her heart belongs to Atlantic Canada. She incorporates many East Coast and ocean-inspired elements into her business and lifestyle. She is a trained educator, experienced teacher, certified advanced Yoga Teacher, certified Fertility Support Practitioner (aka Fertility Doula), Fertility and Perinatal Loss Coordinator and Senior Instructor for an internationally recognized vocational Doula training organization, Doula mentor, certified Labour, Birth, Postpartum, and Perinatal Loss Doula. Jessica is a lifelong learner constantly upgrading her skillset and in her spare time can be found going on adventures with her family, traveling, and getting creative.

Jessica is passionate about supporting individuals and families as they create their own story. She understands unique family dynamics and non-traditional work schedules and is flexible and creative in her individualized wrap-around support approach. She provides clients with evidence based information, holistic wellness education & resources, emotional support, physical support, and tailors support to clients needs and wants. Her hope is that people can flow through the new chapters in their life with as much grace and ease as possible.

IVF Parent
As an IVF parent to two young little ones, Jessica understands that not every journey is easy - this couldn’t have been more true for Jessica’s family. Although it was not what they expected, she wouldn’t change anything because her journey resulted in two beautiful boys. It was the experience of going through IVF that sparked a passion to support others through their unexpected challenges. She understands navigating the medical system is overwhelming and exhausting. Her first-hand experiences allows her to help her clients advocate and access the much needed supports they deserve.


Fertility & Perinatal Loss Coordinator, Senior Instructor, & Doula Educator
Jessica works for an international recognized Doula training organization and teaches, trains, and mentors Doulas-in-training.

Certified Fertility Support Practitioner (FSP) and Fertility Doula
Regardless if you struggled to conceive like 1 in 6 couples in Canada experience, being a Fertility Support Doula allows Jessica to view your journey to parenthood just a little bit differently. She understands that the journey can bring up an unexpected flood of emotions, uncertainty, excitement, questions, and concerns. She understands that your journey may not be a traditional one and that’s okay, it’s as equally spectacular. As your dedicated support advocate, Jessica is here for you throughout the journey at each step along the way to educate, reassure, and prepare.

Certified Advanced (500hrs+ training) & Experienced Yoga Teacher (9+years)
As a yoga teacher, Jessica offers many wellness services as an extension to her offerings to further support her clients with their personal, health, mindfulness, and stress management goals.

Trained Educator and Experienced Teacher
Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, Principal’s Certificate, and Masters in Education in Curriculum Development and Leadership. She has been a teacher and department head for over 18 years in multiple educational facilities and in various provinces. Adding Doula, Coach, and Mentor to her work came naturally to Jessica and she especially loves supporting individuals on their road from egg to baby, wherever they are on the journey.

Certified & Insured Association Member
Clients can feel comfortable working with a Doula and Wellness Practitioner who is insured, certified, and a member of multiple associations including the Ontario Doula Association, Nova Scotia Doula Association, Evidence Based Birth, Mental Health First Aid, and a member and alumni of Doula Training Canada.

Certified Prenatal, Birth, Postpartum, and Perinatal Loss Doula
For clients who conceive and transition into parenthood post fertility support, Jessica is able to continue supporting families through the next phases. Having already built a relationship with her clients and knowing their history, the transition to post-fertility support is a much more seamless.

BIPOC Wellness Worker
Work with a wellness provider who not only works with a diverse population, but is also of mixed decent. Jessica helps her clients navigate a challenging health and medical system that is laced with inequities, lack of services, and biases that negatively impact minorities and people of colour.
