New Zealand and Australia: If I Can do it, You Can do it

New Zealand

New Zealand

I don’t even know where to begin with New Zealand! New Zealand is a destination I always wanted to visit, but had no specific time frame in visiting that country. I just knew that I would get there eventually. It just so happened to work out that I was able to tour New Zealand for three weeks on my way home from my 3 month trip in Australia. That “eventually” turned into “today” and the reality of me actually landing in New Zealand! New Zealand blew me out of the water. With no expectations, I was left speechless on a daily basis. Great Ocean Road

Spending three weeks in south east Australia and the Melbourne area was the perfect end to my first trip flying half way across the world. Visiting Australia has been a dream as I have mentioned before. Years ago, I never would have imagined that for my 30th year I would travel to all of my turquoise destinations for 14 months. Flying from Canada to Australia, on the other side of the world, was well worth it. Ending my trip with friends whom I have known for years makes leaving Australia harder, yet has created lasting memories. Continue reading

Freestone’s Turquoise Roadhaven

Freestones

Freestone’s 1960’s diner and malt shop caught my eye in Aireys Inlet along the Great Ocean Road. The brightly coloured Barefoot Bar & Malt Shop is known for its one of a kind diner food, turquoise vintage look, and famous ’57 Chevy movie prop straight from Disneyland. The Classic Car Garage displays classic cars for diners to see. Freestone’s beach inspired diner took me right back to the 1960’s while traveling along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road. Continue reading
