My husband and I received amazing service at the Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun for our tropical honeymoon in Mexico, Mayan Riviera. We were pleasantly surprised when after checking in to the hotel we were offered the Honeymoon Package for FREE! From the beginning, our honeymoon started off to an incredible start at the Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun for a week of bliss in Mexico. Included in the honeymoon package, we received a complimentary romantic massage for two at the Royal Spa, use of the Nordic spa services, romantic dinner for two on the beach with bottle service, sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room, Jacuzzi drawn baths throughout the week, and nightly turn down service! Not only that, what we remember the most from our honeymoon are the little EXTRAS and 5 star SERVICE. Continue reading

The Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun is an all-in-luxury adults-only hotel located just 15 minutes from the Cancun International Airport–in Mexico’s Caribbean paradise. The 340 room boutique-style Hideaway is an all-inclusive hotel located within the Royalton Riviera Cancun. The staff are warm and friendly, the rooms are modern and spacious, the property is tranquil, the food is delicious, and all of this is only the tip of the ice berg. Guests staying at the Hideaway receive diamond service and are guaranteed a week of extravagance from the relaxing spa services, unlimited reservation-free dining, exclusive à la carte restaurant and bars, top shelf drink selections, to “room service” delivered right to your beach lounger (yes, you read that right, food and drinks brought directly to YOU on the beach). Hello 2016! Happy New Year!
So it’s official, we’re starting 2016 off right with a honeymoon in MEXICO at the Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun. Kicking off the New Year cannot get any better than this. We can’t wait for the sun, sand, and sea! Departure in 5 days!

This year, as much as I am longing for warmer weather, I am happy to say that I am celebrating the Christmas season right where I belong–in Canada. Continue reading
My adventure traveling through Mexico in 2008 somehow landed me in Belize. I’d always wanted to visit Belize and thought that the best time to do so would be when I was already in Mexico. I’d made it that far already. I was so close–so close I had to go. I traveled from Chetumal, Mexico which is located near the border of Belize, all the way down to Caye Caulker via Corozal, Saryenja, and San Pedro/Ambergris Caye. It was quite the journey getting to Belize (and returning back to Mexico). A journey I will remember for the rest of my life. Continue reading
