Over the years, I learned how to truly face my fears to make my dreams come true so to speak and to do it over and over again. Whether the dream was small, big, tangible, or intangible, I taught myself to approach what I was afraid of in different ways and to repeat the process over and over. I had to get to know myself really well to face my fears, take risks, and put myself out there to blindly say “yes!” to life. Why was I fasting yesterday?
After being inspired by the founder of Yoga in Schools Canada, Breathing Space Yoga Studios, and MY incredible yoga teacher Jenny Kierstead, I decided to take a day for myself and fast for 18 hours! 18 being significant and representing the number 108, a sacred number in the yoga tradition–the distance between the earth and the sun is apporx 108 times the sun’s diameter, there are said to be 108 energy lines converging to and from the heart, among MANY other significances. About the classes: Join me for an all levels vinyasa yoga class to learn about the benefits of vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa yoga links body movement to the breath, uses the breath to move from one posture to the next, and teaches you how to set an intention for one’s personal yoga practice and how to take the necessary steps toward reaching that goal.
What we do: Each class is different and will teach students about different yoga fundamentals such as: common vinyasa yoga poses and sequences, controlled breath practice, balance, strength and power, endurance, core work, lengthening and stretching, and intention setting.
