What Should I Add to my 2015 Bucket List?

I’m in the process of planning my 2015 bucket list and I’m not quite sure what to put on it! My 2015 bucket list won’t be as extreme as my 2013 and 2014 lists, as I am no longer traveling the world. I’m not visiting exotic places every few weeks and I’m not checking things off on my bucket list every other day. I’m living life to the fullest, but from home. I still want to do something adventurous like skydiving, visit a turquoise destination (potentially abroad), try something new (hmmmm…), and do something BIG. But what? I’m not sure where to begin. Although I am not traveling full time anymore, I still have opportunities to travel, try new things, and experience the best of what life has to offer. Now to find things that are more local or within the country.

Exploring the Montreal Jean Talon Market

Montreal

I’ve been to Montreal countless times, but I’ve never had the opportunity to visit the well known Jean Talon Market…until this visit that is. My boyfriend grew up in Montreal and he had never been there previously either. Finally, we made a commitment to explore the famous marketplace. I now know what all the fuss is about! Now that I’ve been, I think I am going to want to visit every time I come to Montreal. Maybe it will become part of my Montreal food tour routine!? Continue reading

I was right. From the beautiful turquoise coloured beaches, to the island’s décor, turquoise can be spotted. It would appear that Hawaii’s colour of choice is turquoise. I couldn’t capture all that is turquoise on Oahu. There is turquoise around every corner, which left a permanent smile on my face. Continue reading

Making a Bucket List, Crossing it Off

I wrote this post originally for Christine to guest publish on her website Project Light to Life, but I couldn’t help but share the piece with my own readers. I hope my story inspires you to create a bucket list of your own, add to your current bucket list, and dream new dreams as it’s never too late. -Jessica

I’ve always been interested in the idea of bucket lists since my early twenties, but it wasn’t until I turned thirty that I actively pursued a life of creating yearly bucket lists and checking them off. I took 14 months off from my job to travel the world in 2013; I have already completed my 2013 bucket list and I’m making headway into my 2014 list. A friend of mine, Bucket List Publications, inspired me through her yearly bucket lists to start making my own. I’ve always been in the process of completing things I’ve been passionate about, but never really put pen to paper until I transitioned my life from a full-time teacher and Master’s student to a full-time traveler.
