I’ve spent the last month in a mad dash to accomplish the rest of my winter bucket list items now that the weather has been better before the end of the season. With only a few items left on my northern bucket list, I’m almost there! Top on my list was doing yoga in the snow in Northeastern Ontario. Even in -30 degree Celsius weather, I managed to get out on a blue sky sunny day and do yoga in the snow! Would you do it? Here are 26 of my favourite yoga poses that you can do in the snow, or literally anywhere at anytime. No special equipment required! Where do you yoga?
Dog Sledding I finally had the opportunity to check off one of my dream bucket list items in Northeastern Ontario: DOG SLEDDING! A true northern Canadian adventure! Comment below with your current location this Valentine’s Day and how you will celebrate the day of love! I’ll be celebrating today in South Porcupine, Ontario for their annual South Porcupine Winter Carnival. This year’s theme is “The Great Outdoors” and I’ll be enjoying exactly that while watching the evening fire works over Porcupine Lake. It will be my first winter fire works experience. I can’t wait to see the fire works light up the white snow below!
What will you be out exploring this week? Lakes, forests, or plains?
As a teacher, I was anticipating Christmas break weeks prior to the last day of school. As you can imagine, my students, like myself, were anxiously awaiting a much needed holiday. When it finally arrived, I departed the Maritimes bound for Montreal, QC where I would spend part of my break with my boyfriend and his family. After 14 months of traveling full time to 22 countries and on 65 flights, I was starting to feel more at home on the road than in my actual home. I felt relief and excitement to get my fill of air travel and big city explorations this Christmas break. Continue reading →
